Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Front Desk Cashier to welcome customers, process payments and support front desk operations. This role is an important first point of contact and helps ensure customers receive efficient, professional service while transactions are handled accurately.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail and confidence handling cash and payment systems. Previous cashier, retail or front desk experience is beneficial. The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a busy environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional assistance at the front desk.

• Process cash, card and other payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Issue receipts and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.

• Balance the till and report any discrepancies in line with company procedures.

• Respond to routine customer enquiries and direct more complex requests to the appropriate team member.

• Maintain an organised, clean and welcoming reception and cashier area.

• Support front desk administration, including handling documents and passing on messages as required.

• Follow cash-handling, security and customer service procedures consistently.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth daily operations.

Required Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Basic numerical skills and close attention to detail when handling payments.

• Ability to follow instructions and cash-handling procedures accurately.

• Reliable attendance and a professional, courteous approach.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier, front desk receptionist or customer service representative.

• Experience using a POS system, cash register or payment terminal.

• Experience handling cash and balancing a till.

• Experience in retail, wholesale, distribution or a related customer-facing environment.

Pay

$17 an hour with an opportunity to increase in 90 days.

Rotating Saturdays 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
