We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with a strong background in Golang to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of professional experience in writing scalable, maintainable, and efficient code, with a particular focus on API microservices. A robust understanding of back-end technologies and infrastructure is crucial, along with the passion for solving complex backend processes and functions.

COMPENSATION: $130,000 - $150,000/annually
Available Shift: Normal Business Hours (Monday - Friday).
Worksite Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL / Hybrid 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient, scalable, maintainable microservices using Golang.
• Maintain and improve the functionality of existing backend systems to ensure reliability, performance, and functionality.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members to establish objectives, design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, track down errors, and resolve them to maintain optimum performance.
• Develop and update technical documentation and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.
• Implement and manage APIs while ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in Golang and backend development, continuously improving and updating skills and practices.
• Bonus points for candidates with experience or familiarity in GraphQL and Apollo

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least three years of programming experience with Golang.
• Strong understanding of the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
• Experience with Golang web frameworks and knowledge of common Goroutine and channel patterns.
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-based systems, understanding the importance of creating code that scales.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of security compliance is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• Bonus points for knowledge or professional experience with GraphQL and Apollo.
