We are searching for an experienced Assistant Buyer to work directly with the Purchasing Manager. The Assistant Buyer/Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing the assigned procurement of goods and services to the organization and will ensure cost-effective purchases and consistent on time delivery of quality goods and services. Purchases other items such as manufacturing, laboratory, raw materials from approved suppliers.

Who You Are...
You are an experienced materials or supply chain procurement professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively work across levels, functions and companies, A demonstrated ability to effectively plan and deliver tasks with high quality in a timely fashion.
You are be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as the ability to successfully lead and handle multiple challenges under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase materials, supplies and inventory items following established guidelines and procedures set for by management.
- Act as the main contact for all communication related to purchasing internally and externally.
- Order all consumables and manage inventory levels set by multiple departments to meet min/max levels set by the company.
- Initiate the necessary communication and documentation to suppliers and department to ensure the availability of raw materials, buying and packaging, utilizing best practices and high level of corporate ethics.
- Understands and executes cGMP practices.
- Submitting and managing the open order report, to the prospective departments
- Maintaining each departments budget ledger and reporting
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
- Participates or interacts with the following functional elements:
- Operations - support the manufacturing, packaging, warehousing and distribution.
- Sales/Marketing - support new product introductions, forecasting, inventory. Sourcing marketing supplies, merchandise.
- Quality/Compliance – support quality/compliance objectives.
- Finance/Accounting - support A/P issues, inventory issues, BOM accuracy and cycle count objectives.
- Supplier - support finished goods and material suppliers.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors in supply chain management, logistics, materials management or business administration or minimum 3 to 5 years equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of buying and planning experience in made to order custom and standard stock in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
(SPECIFICALLY Excel pivot tables and formulas) - Strong Communication Skills a must
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency.
- Willingness to learn and improve processes.
- Fluent in English (Spanish a plus)
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.

Compensation
- Starting at $45,000-$50,000 (PLUS Bonuses for quarterly goals & objectives)
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
