We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our team as a Diesel Mechanic (AC Repair Specialist) in our facility located in Miami, FL!

Position Summary:
This position performs the maintenance and repairs of the company’s fleet, with a focus on A/C components. The fleet consists of vehicles, and heavy equipment (top loaders, mules, forklifts, step vans, cars, etc.). This position may also perform maintenance and repairs to the company’s cranes. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsabilities:
- Manage full maintenance of the company’s fleet, including vehicles, mules, forklifts, and top loaders.
- Inspect, analyze, test, and repair heavy-duty diesel and gas-powered engines, performing full engine overhauls (Inframe/Outframe) to restore engines to optimal condition.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and inspections to identify worn or damaged parts, and perform necessary repairs or replacements on major assemblies (e.g., power trains, electrical, hydraulics, fuel, emission, brake, steering systems).
- Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including diagnosing issues, testing electrical components, and replacing faulty parts.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on air conditioning units and diesel engines.
- Ensure equipment functions at peak performance, safety, and longevity through regular checks of fuel, brake, and transmission systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, staying aware of surroundings at all times.
Pay Rate: $28.00 / hour
Available Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am-5:00pm, with rotating Saturday shifts and flexibility to work additional hours and holidays as needed.

Qualifications:
- Full diesel mechanic – minimum two (2) years of experience diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling diesel engines.
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems components – turbo, fuel injection, A/C, EGR, pumps, alternator, starter, drive train, etc.
- Knowledge of diesel engine assembly practices, specifications, and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems.
- Effective analytical skills and the ability to identify problems quickly.
- Ability to read and interpret automotive diagrams, schematics, and reference manuals.
- Experience and ability to use common hands and power tools.
- Remain up-to-speed with industry developments and best practices impacting knowledge or skill by attending company-sponsored training and other educational programs.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English.
- Must be able to accurately process alpha/numeric information.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, as needed.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and strong initiative.
- Ability to obtain internal forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
- Strong communication skills (oral required; written preferred)
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
