Position Summary

The Production & Manufacturing Planner will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating the manufacturing process. This includes optimising production schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient use of resources to meet our production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities for Production & Manufacturing Planning

• Production Scheduling: Develop and oversee production schedules to optimize workflow and resource allocation, meeting demand effectively.
• Resource Management: Coordinate the use of materials, labor, and equipment to ensure efficient production operations.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to maintain product standards and implement quality control procedures.
• Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to minimise waste and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement to improve efficiency and reduce production lead times.
• Data Analysis: Analyse production data to forecast demand and adjust planning accordingly.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field 
• OR comparable amount of time of 'hands-on' industry experience in production & manufacturing products.
• MUST be Bilingual, able to speak, read, write fluently in both English & Spanish.
• 3+ years of senior or management level experience in production planning, preferably in a consumer products environment.
• Familiarity with smoking, vaping, or consumable products.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning and inventory management software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of quality control principles and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using production and inventory management software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Compensation

• Annual salary of $60,000 to $70,000, based on experience and qualifications.
