Role Summary

The role of Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician focuses on maintaining and repairing machinery critical to our production operations. Utilising your technical expertise, you will ensure that our equipment functions at optimal levels, thereby minimising downtime and maximising productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and servicing of all manufacturing machines to ensure efficient operation, Oversee the maintenance of the facility and all related equipment.
• Repairs: Perform necessary repairs, including component replacement and calibration of equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues swiftly to reduce production interruptions.  Specifically, motor controls, including HMIs and PLCs.
• Diagnose Issues: Automation components such as HMIs, PLCs, I/O modules, and VFDs, Identify communication systems on automation devices, Perform basic programming of PLCs
• Design and implement: Innovations and improvements to enhance equipment efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan and prevent unexpected failures, Collaborate closely with production to ensure timely product output that meets the highest food safety and quality standards.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections, to support continuous improvement processes.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Technical or vocational degree in a related field is strongly preferred
• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience is required
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Sanitary welding experience is a plus, though not required.

Work Schedule

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
• Occasional weekend or evening shifts may be required.

Salary

• $62,400 to $72,800 annually
