Role Summary
As a Logistics Clerk, you will assist our brokerage team with carrier sourcing, shipment tracking, load scheduling, and supporting both our customer and carrier partners. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, approaches challenges with a problem-solving mindset, and enjoys working collaboratively in a results-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate shipment details and documentation within our TMS.
- Track the status of active shipments, communicate updates proactively to internal teams and clients, and resolve simple service issues.
- Provide exceptional support to drivers, carriers, and customers by responding promptly to queries and requests.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate freight pickups and deliveries in line with service expectations.
- Assist with invoice matching, documentation filing, and compliance audits for freight transactions.
- Collaborate with dispatch and customer service departments to guarantee a seamless logistics process from booking to delivery.
Required Experience
- 1+ years of experience in a transport, logistics, or freight brokerage clerk or coordination role (preferred, but not required).
- Strong digital literacy; comfortable using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and standard office platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work professionally via phone and email with a diverse range of partners.
- Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing load data and documentation.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise workflows, and remain calm in fast-paced logistics situations.
Preferred Attributes
- Knowledge of US freight geography, lane pricing, and carrier selection best practices.
- Experience working with temperature-controlled or perishable goods logistics is a plus.
- Familiarity with brokerage systems such as McLeod, DAT, Truckstop, or similar is beneficial (training provided).
- Team player with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to resolving freight issues.
Compensation
- Starting Hourly rate of $20.00 per hour
- Benefits available, after probationary period
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00am - 5:00pm EST
- In-Office ONLY
